On the Holiday of Purim, it is customary to send Mishloach Manos (colloquially called "Shalach Manos") Purim gift baskets to friends and family.  In order to increase friendship and goodwill on this day, there is a mitzvah to send Mishloach Manos gift baskets to at least 2 people, many people sending significantly more.  Shalach Manos gift baskets are given and exchanged, and the streets are full of merriment.

Many people incorporate wines, liquor, liqueur, and spirits, in keeping with the festivity of Purim.
